El Grupo de Investigación Hipertrópico, convergencia entre arte y tecnología de la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de Antioquia, lidera desde el año 2008 la organización del evento académico y expositivo Ecologías Digitales, que se ha constituido como un espacio para el diálogo y la divulgación sobre procesos culturales en los que confluyen el arte y la tecnología, dimensionando el potencial de lo tecnológico para activar acciones diversas que integran sujetos, máquinas y espacios, y motivando la pluralidad cultural a través de la participación de múltiples agentes en procesos creativos y de construcción de conocimiento

The concept of Ecologías Digitales:
- It is proposed as a metaphor referring to the constitution of variable and infinite environments in formal possibilities, inviting an understanding of change as the foundation of the emerging digital environments we inhabit.
- It allows us to understand the potential of digital technology to activate diverse actions that integrate subjects, machines, and spaces, thereby motivating cultural plurality and the participation of multiple agents in artistic creation and the construction of knowledge.El evento

- It provides a space for academic dialogue and dissemination of research, artistic, and educational processes that connect art, technology, and society.
